Corrections policy
Scope
What counts as a correction
Factual errors: a wrong number, a misstated policy term, an outdated waiting period, a coverage detail an insurer has since changed. These get a correction note on the page. Typos and clarity rewrites that do not change meaning are fixed silently. Quarterly quote refreshes are scheduled updates, not corrections, and restamp their pages with the new collection month.
Process
How a report becomes a fix
Report the error via the contact page with the page URL and your source. We verify against primary sources: the insurer's current policy documents, state filings, or the regulator. Verified errors are fixed with priority over all other editorial work, the page's updated date changes, and the correction note names what was wrong and what is now stated.
